SAN FRANCISCO , CA, UNITED STATES, September 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- ChIPs Network, the global community advancing women in tech, law, and policy, has opened a new chapter in Utah. The launch of ChIPs Utah coincides with the region’s recent boom in the intellectual property ecosystem; Utah has become one of the highest growing markets in the United States for tech employment, manufacturing, and engineering, earning the nickname “Silicon Slopes.” With tech giants such as Microsoft, Oracle, and Adobe, and a newly opened USPTO engagement office, all present in the Salt Lake City metro area, ChIPs Utah is designed to meet the needs of leaders outside the country’s major tech and IP hubs.

“Utah has quietly been an IP hub for years. The growth of Silicon Slopes and the number of companies opening offices here have made that visible, and our IP community has grown with it,” said Hannah Follender, ChIPs Utah Founder and Partner at Loza & Loza, LLP. When I saw what the women in ChIPs were building nationally and internationally, I wanted our community to have access to that network, along with the programming, mentorship, and career opportunities that come with it.”

“Establishing a chapter in Utah was the logical next step for ChIPs in our mission of advancing women in tech, law and policy,” said Joan Toth, ChIPs Executive Director. “This is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. We are honored to support women and male allies in the area as they continue to build a new IP community.”

The Chapter is supported by ChIPs Utah’s Founder’s Circle, comprised of Foley & Lardner LLP, Ray Quinney & Nebeker, and Workman Nydegger.
